Wow how time flies!! Cannot believe we have had our One Month and Two Month birthdays.

On December 23, Sterling turned 3 months old! The holiday season is already upon us and I’ve been too busy to update you until now. Here are some highlights from his third month:

  • Still loves to smile and laugh at everyone.
  • Flew on his first International Airplane and did wonderful.
  • Is just about to find his fingers as his hands are in his mouth all the time
  • Does lots of talking especially in the mornings. We Coo at each other A LOT
  • Still HATES the car even in Canada he screamed ~ usually in front of strangers he is a doll
  • Is getting more active on his play mat ~ starting to grab for the toys vs just battling them
  • Still sleeps like a champ. He loves his bath time, bedtime story routine then bed at 8:30
  • Got his first round of Shots. They hurt mommy worse
  • Still has his Mohawk.

I went back to work on 12/21 and we went to our LAST (tear) breastfeeding group class at East Cooper Hospital. Sterling said goodbye to all his new baby friends. Here are his stats from the last weigh in:

Weight: 12 lbs 3 oz
He eats every 3 hours approx 5oz – so that is how we will plan his bottles going forward.

For comparison, these are his stats from his 2 month appointment:

Weight: 11 lbs 2 oz (39%)
Height: 24 ½ in (94%)

His 1 week appointment:

Weight: 7 lbs 2 oz (24%)
Height: 21 ¾ in (66%)

And at birth:

Weight: 7 lbs 13 oz
Height: 21 3/4 in

Each week I take his “Weekly Photo Shoot”. I have been AWFUL about posting them on the blog but I have taken them every week. Now that I am back at work I will still take them week but plan to post them on my monthly updates. If you want to see the weeklys’ please check out the FLICKR feed. It will be fun to look back at them and see how he grows!

Merry Christmas to my girls

Dearest Julia and Hope
I miss you so much right now. We are celebrating Christmas and you are not here. I promise to wait to start Christmas tomorrow until you get here... just hurry up. (my 1st Christmas morning without my girls... hurts)

Just last year we were together Christmas morning.. This year we will be together in the afternoon but I want you to know I miss you so much. My heart hurts so badly right now. I want those moments in the morning when you see that Santa came. I know I need to share these moments with your father but I don't want to...I will work on this feeling I promise. We have just always been together on Christmas morning except this year.. and I miss you.
